Leslie Zuck
Executive Director
Leslie Zuck is a co-founder and Executive Director of Pennsylvania Certified Organic. Leslie is active in promoting and developing organic agricultural policies at the local, state and National level. Leslie is chair of the Accredited Certifiers Association and serves as and advisor on agriculture-related boards, including the Organic Trade Association, NRCS State Technical Committee and Penn State’s Organic Transition Project. She is a graduate of Penn State (’80) and The Dickinson School of Law (’89.) She owns and operates Common Ground Organic Farm, producing certified organic garden plants, vegetables, lamb and wool. Pennsylvania Certified Organic was founded in 1997 by organic farmers in Pennsylvania who saw a need for a certifying organization in the state. Although most of the 600+ producers PCO works with are within Pennsylvania, the organization provides certification in 9 additional states throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. PCO offers programs for a diverse array of agricultural production, including dairy, poultry, beef, lamb, field crops, produce, orchards, mushrooms, snack foods, canned goods, cosmetics and maple products.
